You can probably figure out from my answers that school has started again. I started the education program this semester, that means only three more to go! It is a lot what I expected: a lot of work! Jon and I are working opposite schedules so we don't get to see each other very often, but we are surviving. Besides school and work, not a lot is happening. Libby and I are going down to see our favorite oldest sister in a few weeks and I should have some great pictures from that. That is all for now.

Pioneer Trek

As I previously mentioned we went on the pioneer trek a few weeks ago as a ma and pa. Here are some pictures from our very fun and very tiring experience:
Here we are at the top of the mountain that we pushed and pulled the handcart up, too bad we still had to go back down

here is our "family" at the top including all ten of our teenage kids, they did such a great job, I hardly even touched the handcart because the kids wanted to do all the work

this is a picture of the entire group that went on the trek

this is our family at the this is the place monument at the end of the trek, we really gained a sincere appreciation for all the people that made the trip across the country with handcarts, we only went 20 miles with a lot less to carry, more people to push and pull, and a hot meal waiting for us when we finished each day. I can't imagine the trials they had to go through.

More Summer Fun

A few weeks ago my mom called me at work to invite me to the James Taylor concert at the USANA amphitheater, here coworker and good friend and some extra tickets so I left work early and went down with my mom and logan. turned out the tickets came from a super rich guy that owns a suite at USANA so we got VIP parking, dinner, and great seats! it was so much fun! and i am sure logan will soon get over the fact that I bought the same shirt as him. Please ignore my ugly hair, like I mentioned before I didn't think I was going anywhere until the last minute.

This past Saturday night we went with Jodi and Tate to the Bees game. It was so fun! I've always loved Jodi and I love to see her so happy! Thanks guys for inviting us, we look forward to getting together again.

So much to post so little time

So I have been avoiding adding to my blog and then I wonder why other people take so long to update, so I decided to step it up and share a few things that have been going on. So keep scrolling down a bit after this post because there is a little bit more to see. In addition to the following posts we went on the pioneer trek last weekend through East Canyon as a "ma and pa" of a family. I was really nervous but it turned out awesome! Our "kids" were hilarious, they even stole a "baby" (really a plastic doll) from another family and hiding it in our handcart. I didn't dare take our digital camera so I took a disposable and it will be a few days before I can get the pictures developed. Also a smaller note that I finally went all dark with my hair. If you noticed my last color was only blonde in the front, I decided it would be easier to keep up for school. My friends, family, and coworkers all had trouble recognizing me. It has been a big change but I am getting more used to it every day.
here is a quick photo from my web cam so it is not the best quality

American Idol

I know these are way out of order so "I apologize" as said by David Archuletta. So Brooke got us some really great seats at the AI concert on July 15, 4th row! it was so awesome! Here are some pics

Family Pictures

While the Petersons were here a few weeks ago we had some family pictures taken, thanks to kyrsten for the location idea and thanks to Mark and Kristen for taking the group pictures

Last of course is Logan, I can't believe our little brother is almost eighteen!

here are all the girls except Tess, it was really hot and it didn't take long for the kids to get tired of being in pictures

last but not least one of the boys, we didn't actually get a pic with all of them looking but this one is so cute with owen giving his dad a raspberry on his cheek

Also we would like to thank the Peers for taking our pictures and in return we took theirs here is my favorite of them, they have such a cute little family

Fireworks

The fireworks at the Dodger's game were amazing!  Owen was a little scared of the popping noises and Tess slept through the event, but Jon recorded this snippet and I wanted to share it with everyone so here it is. The flashes throughout the crowd were pretty cool too.

Weekend in California

We went down and stayed with the Peterson's this weekend and we had a great time, as we always do!  We saw Danny, Kyr, and Lydia on Friday, went to the Dodgers game on Saturday, Diddie Reese on Sunday, and the beach on Monday.  I had so many pictures I decided on a slide show here are some pics from our very fun filled weekend

Flaming Gorge

Friday night we left for Flaming Gorge with Josh and Libby. Josh's family was already up there. We had a lot of fun. We had a scary experience when Libby accidently put unleaded gas into Dave's Diesel truck. Luckily I noticed before we started the truck and some really nice local guys syphoned all the gas out and pushed it over to the diesel pump. It all turned out fine, but Libby will be referred to as "unleaded" by her father-in-law for a long time.
we look sad but we were really relieved this is after we returned to camp after our adventure

Libby with Addie, Maddie, and Braden catching craw-daddies

Dirt Bike riders I am not pictured because I am way to clumsy for dirt bikes

This was our first dutch oven cooking experience, we made sprite chicken and it was delicious!

The beautiful view from our campsite
